System Administrator, About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Systems Administrator to join Sonatafy full-time. This role focuses on administering the IT department’s operations and systems, with additional responsibility for providing support when needed. You will be responsible for managing onboarding/offboarding, hardware and software assets, MDM, user accounts, and SaaS platforms that keep our distributed teams productive.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and organized. They have a solid IT foundation and can balance administration tasks with occasional hands-on support in a remote-first environment.

System Administrator Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & Infrastructure

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for remote contractors and employees.
  • Procure and ship hardware to remote team members (primarily in Mexico and LATAM).
  • Maintain asset management systems for hardware and software inventory.
  • Administer MDM tools (Scalefusion) for device setup, compliance, and monitoring.
  • Set up and maintain user accounts, profiles, and permissions across platforms.
  • Support domain administration, including DNS and email account management.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues in remote environments.

System Administrator Business Operations Support

  • Act as a technical liaison for TAS, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of campaign configurations and connectors.
  • Administer and troubleshoot automations using Zapier (Zaps).
  • Support outreach and engagement tools (LinkedIn, uLink, GoLogin, Lemlist, Instantly).

Systems and Platform Administration

  • Administered and supported accounts and permissions for AWS, GitHub, and other integrated SaaS platforms.
  • Manage domain records, DNS, and email administration.
  • Document and maintain IT processes, SOPs, and compliance records.

System Administrator Requirements

System Administrator Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • 1-2 years of proven experience in systems administration and IT Support.
  • End-to-end hardware asset lifecycle management (procurement, configuration, tracking, disposal).
  • Software asset management, including license assignment, revocation, and compliance.
  • Strong proficiency with both Windows and macOS environments.
  • Hands-on experience in AWS account management.
  • Experience with DNS, domain management, and email administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and connectivity in remote-first setups.
  • Familiarity with MDM platforms (e.g., Scalefusion).
  • Experience automating operational workflows (e.g., HR, onboarding, vendor management, or IT processes).
  • Experience supporting workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier).
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with cross-border logistics and vendor ecosystems in LATAM for IT hardware.
  • Experience creating or maintaining SOPs and IT documentation.
  • Familiarity with IT spend tracking, cost benchmarking, or fundamental ROI analysis.
  • Automation or scripting skills for license and tool deployment.
  • Experience with automated inventory tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with outreach platforms (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, uLink, GoLogin, Lemlist, Instantly).
  • Knowledge of SSO/SAML implementation for identity and access management.
