JavaScript Developer, Our requirements are simple:
Be professional and courteous
Be driven to improve continuously
Be ready to have fun
JavaScript Developer Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers (think of it as being the Gandalf of the server-side), fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment (where code is law, but collaboration is king).
- Propose and implement scalable architectural patterns (because we’re building a skyscraper, not a shed) to support the application’s growth and ensure long-term maintainability (so it doesn’t collapse under its own weight).
- Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines (basically, you’re the code police, but in a good way… mostly).
- Follow and contribute to existing software design patterns (we’re not reinventing the wheel, but we’re definitely putting spinners on it).
- Identify and resolve data/process bottlenecks (before they become a “Houston, we have a problem” situation).
- Maintain and update the codebase (keeping it fresh like your memes).
- Collaborate with the Frontend team (those folks who make things look pretty) to ensure new features are performant and meet design requirements (so it’s not just fast, it’s also fabulous).
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback (because even the best code can be better, and we’re all about growth)
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues (be the MacGyver of the backend).
JavaScript Developer Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience working on high-throughput, high-availability applications, with experience in a lead role (you’ve been around the block, and you’ve got the scars… er, experience… to prove it).
- 7+ years of professional backend engineering experience (you’re not a rookie, you’re a seasoned pro).
- 4+ years of experience with NodeJS and MongoDB in a corporate environment (you speak fluent Node and Mongo).
- 2+ years of experience with Angular.
- Strong systems operations experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Rekognition, Elasticache, AmazonMQ, CloudWatch) (you know your way around the AWS jungle).
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration (you can wrangle containers like a boss).
- Demonstrated experience with DNS, VPNs, Networking, Firewalls, static asset delivery, application load balancing, and auto-scaling (you’re basically the network whisperer).
- (Preferred) Experience working with AI (because the future is now, and it’s probably sentient).
- Strong understanding of web design best practices, standards, and modern web application development trends (you’re not stuck in 1999).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills (you can explain complex things without making people’s eyes glaze over), with the ability to mentor and guide team members (you’re not just a boss, you’re a mentor).
- Proven ability to make sound technical decisions and drive projects to completion (you’re the captain of this ship, and you’re not afraid to steer).
- Experience in technical planning and roadmap development (you’re not just building the road, you’re drawing the map).
